New Opportunity – Product Specialist – Technical Support

What you’ll be doing

 

This is a newly created opportunity for the right candidate to make their mark and put us on the map brand-wise. The Product Specialist will work within our After-sales department and will become a technical expert in our products, both professional and domestic.
You’ll be responsible for leading technical initiatives for our brand of domestic & Professional lawnmowers. Below are a few other areas of responsibility:

 

Aftersales Support:
• Provide technical support for both UK and overseas customers and dealers in professional and domestic markets • Create technical aftersales and sales support videos • Design and deliver technical aftersales training to customers and dealers.

UK Sales Support:
• Demonstration support of our professional products for Stadiums, Bowling greens, cricket clubs. Able to present a technical product to a small audience and demonstrate it’s features

• Installation of Professional products with end users with maintenance and safe-use training • Technical training for Garden Machinery dealers on applications, commissioning and servicing our products.

International Sales Support
• Conducting technical training for international distributors of our products o Sales staff product training including how to demonstrate our products effectively o Service training for technicians and mechanics. Pre-delivery Inspections, annual service and repair. Training end users for large contracts (Eg World Cup Tournament venues).

Engineering

• Providing feedback to engineering department of product and quality improvements • Give tele-sales support for customers for best product performance and advice on resolving technical issues • To test and provide feedback on prototype products.


  
What you’ll need to succeed

 

Need to know

 

 How to confidently provide formal technical training to small audiences at their level to meaningfully transfer knowledge.  Good mechanical understanding of basic machinery. Small engines, belt and chain drives, bearings.  Knowledge of horticultural or agricultural machinery advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.  How to use (competently) the Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  If you have a passion for lawns, lawn mowers, gardening and sports surfaces, this will be an advantage.

 

Need to have

 

Drivers licence due to UK travel to our distributor network. Applications welcome from those 25+ due to insurance requirements for the vehicle.  Mechanical maintenance and repair experience.  Experience of presenting confidently in public and be a clear, concise communicator.  Confidence to travel internationally.  Experience of a customer facing role or managing/building relationships.
