New Opportunity – Production Coordinator

Where you’ll be working
Allett Ltd are the proud manufacturers of high quality, British made precision cylinder and rotary mowers for both commercial and domestic use.
Working within a niche market, we pride ourselves on top quality products, great customer satisfaction and ultimately amazing, striped lawns. We are an international player, which exports products all over the world including a high-end customer base, including premier sports grounds and royal households.
We are a small specialist team of passionate and hardworking individuals, who work together flexibly, to meet our collective business goals. If you feel that you could add value to this team, please read on.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be responsible for co-ordinating the timely and efficient flow of materials required to meet production schedules whilst maintaining quality standards.

 

Here are a few key areas of responsibility:

  • Review the production schedule and work orders then identify shortages, bottlenecks and other interruptions from production information collected
  • Anticipating and preventing late deliveries
  • Administration of production documentation and records
  • Provide information for monitoring performance of suppliers
  • Maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands
  • Update weekly Manufacturing plan
  • Contact suppliers to verify shipment details
  • Place orders for Production and MRO supplies
  • Resolve complaints and eliminate delays
  • Assist with the implementation of lean manufacturing objectives to minimise waste and optimise operational efficiency
  • Raising and processing works orders and internal production/quality admin
  • Booking of delivery notes
  • Administration of quality documentation on the shop floor
  • Develop and improve the purchasing of product to aid with the logistics and cash flow
  • Assist with the implementation of lean manufacturing objectives to minimise waste and optimise operational efficiency
  • You may be required to perform other duties within your skills set as the Business may require.

 

What you’ll need to succeed
Need to know

  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel, Word and Pegasus Opera would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings is a benefit.

 

Need to have

  • Sense of urgency and enthusiasm
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to co-ordinate own work load
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate information
  • Ability to resolve problems
  • Experience of working in a factory environment is an advantage

 

Need to demonstrate

  • We have a number of core competencies that we believe are fundamental to both individual and business success.

 

The following competencies will need to be demonstrated for success:

  • Being knowledgeable – knowing your stuff, with an ongoing passion to learn and develop
