New Opportunity – Key Account Manager (UK Domestic)

What you’ll be doing

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to make their mark and ensure our domestic range is represented by a dealer network that is passionate and committed to delivering the Allett brand promise to the UK domestic marketplace. As the Key Account Manager, your role will be to coordinate the smooth transition of information and marketing between the distribution channels and the dealer network. Providing sales and marketing material to the key dealers who are going to promote the development and growth of the Allett Brand.

You’ll be responsible for operating nationwide across the UK visiting and supporting our domestic dealers to supply our customers with the knowledge and machinery to produce outstanding striped lawns. Below are the areas of responsibility:

  • Promote the Allett brand to the existing dealer network
  • Reinforce the stockist opportunities with the existing dealer network
  •  Complete CRM records for each customer contact
  • Record dealer performance and identify areas for development
  • Establish our best prospective dealers
  • Select between 30-60 authorised Allett dealers
  • Monitor performance of these dealers
  • Attend and support exhibitions, county shows
  • Main point of contact for the distribution salesmen. Assist in dealer visits
  • Implement and support Company marketing and promotional activities in support of sales and the brand
  • Promote the domestic (Homeowner) range of products and their accessories
  • Support the Allett Marketing function with ideas and report how market reacts (like/dislike)
  • Support the development of marketing campaigns and advertising strategies
  • Improve and develop merchandising materials and deliver these too key dealers
  • Monitor and report Allett competitor activity and propositions
  • Monitor UK domestic sales success and report forward orders
  • Attend regular meetings with distributor and senior management team
  • Work with our distributor to develop and grow Allett domestic sales
  • You may be required to perform additional duties reasonably requested by the management team.

 

What you’ll need to succeed
Need to know

  • How to communicate with different stakeholders
  • Understand the differing value propositions for our customers and dealers
  • How to deliver marketing and branding concepts to a dealer network
  • Able to critically analyse information to make decisions and judgements
  • Understand the benefits and have used CRM systems
  • How to use (competently) the Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • An understanding of cylinder and rotary lawnmowers would be advantageous.

 

Need to have

  • Drivers licence due to travel to our customer and dealer premises
  • A willingness to travel within the UK and be prepared to stay in hotels on a frequent basis
  • Experience of working in a customer facing role
  • A background in account management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and self motivation
  • Experience of B2B sales
  • Experience of selling products through agents / dealers / distributors would be advantageous
