What you’ll be doing

 

Homebased with UK & Ireland travel (overnight stays up to 2-3 times per week depending on self-managed calendar), you will be working as a Sales Manager within our sales division. This is a newly created opportunity for the right candidate to make their mark and put us on the map brand-wise with professional gardeners & Landscapers, heritage houses, sports clubs and stadiums.
In conjunction with our Director responsible for sales, you’ll be responsible for leading sales campaigns for our brand of professional lawnmowers. Below are a few other areas of responsibility:

• The purpose of this role is take overall responsibility for sales and business development for Allett’s professional products & services leading sales activity, working closely with colleagues to ensure annual sales targets are met.

You will be visiting & developing new and existing relationships with our customers.

• You will be increasing brand and product awareness with a selection of targeted machinery dealers.

• Visiting targeted 4-5 customers per day, up to 20 per week to support brand development, product education and consulting on the needs of the customer.

• To work with colleagues to review and develop the brand and market position of Allett drawings on feedback from existing and potential customers.

• Organise demonstration events and training sessions for the Allett Product specialist, monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of these activities.

• You will undertake market research and customer surveys to support product development and help us identify new sales growth opportunities with New Product Development to gain an advantage over our competitors.

• Monitor and report on competitor activity.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Need to know 

 

-Strong ability to negotiate with others and use interpersonal skills to bring about change and achieved the desired outcomes. 

-Ability to communicate clearly across all levels of relevant organisations, both verbally and in writing. 

-Ability to demonstrate strong commercial skills including influencing, negotiation, risk management, demonstrating value for money, and liaising with a range of professional staff levels. 

-Ability to build and sustain credibility and positive working relationships with a range of customers. 

-Knowledge of industry advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.  How to use (competently) the Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
 If you have a passion for lawns, lawn mowers and/or sports surfaces will be an advantage. 
   

   Need to have



-Drivers licence due to national customer base. Applications welcome from those 25+ due to insurance requirements for the vehicle.  sales qualification/equivalent experience preferred.  -Sales experience ideal. 

-Experience of presenting confidently at all levels. 

-Experience of a customer facing role or managing/building relationships.
