1.Can you give us a little bit of background about your previous job/background?

I left Walton high school in 2018 after completing my GCSEs, I then went on to go to Stafford College to complete my diploma in performing engineering operations. Whilst completing the course I worked part time at home bargains. I will be looking to go to college to support my apprenticeship and gain the theoretical knowledge to support my practical work.

2. Where did your interest in manufacturing come from?

I wanted to take on an apprenticeship because it’s a great way to gain qualifications and experience in a working environment whilst earning. Working at Allett appealed to me greatly due to it being local and having a well known reputation for the quality of the products. My interest in manufacturing meant this role was ideal for me. I’ve always been a very practical person so wanted to work in a role like this. Being a football fan too it’s amazing to know that you are working on the machines that are being used to cut the grass at the biggest stadiums in the world.

3. Can you give us a bit of a background on your life? Eg hobbies, family, etc

I am 17 from Rugeley I live with my mother and my sister. My hobbies include football, rugby and boxing all three of which I have competed in.

4. What are you most excited about working at Allett Mowers?

Since starting work at Allett, I have enjoyed being part of the team. Everyone at Allett has been really supportive and have helped me settle in and feel welcome. I am looking forward to being part of manufacturing machines for some of the worlds top sports clubs.

5. What will your new job involve/what are you responsible for?

My job role consists of manual, robotic and semi-auto welding, tube bending, spiralling and cylinder grinding. My responsibilities at present are to ensure all fabrications are made to the highest standard.
